Migration

The host contract and the toolkit swapped names at 0.24.0. This is a hard cutover: the old package was deleted and old worker packages do not load on the 0.24.0 runtime.

Names

Before After
Virtufin.Worker.DevKit 0.x (host contract) Virtufin.Worker.Host 0.24.0
namespace Virtufin.Worker.DevKit (host) namespace Virtufin.Worker.Host
— Virtufin.Worker.DevKit 0.24.0 (toolkit — this package)

A worker now references both:

using Virtufin.Worker.Host;      // IWorker, WorkerBase<,>
using Virtufin.Worker.DevKit; // ICodec, bindings, bases

Order

  1. WorkManager 0.24.0 (host renamed).
  2. Virtufin.Worker.DevKit 0.24.0 (this package).
  3. Domain devkits, next major on Host 0.24.0.
  4. Every worker package repinned and republished.
  5. workers.toml: versions and config schemas.
  6. Staging validation, then delete the old 0.x package.

Why a hard cutover

The worker load context resolves dependencies by simple assembly name from the host. A forwarding assembly named Virtufin.Worker.DevKit and the toolkit of the same name cannot coexist. A forwarder would have forced the toolkit's assembly to carry another name forever; the cutover keeps every name honest.
